A Girls Guide to Moving On Audio Book Summary:

This is the audiobook edition of the novel A Girls Guide to Moving On. This book was written by New York Times best-selling author Debbie Macomber. The story revolves around two women who are going through a cross road in their lives.

Nichole believed she was living the perfect life. A husband, a son and a perfect job, what more could one ask for? But everything came crashing down when she discovers that her husband is having an affair with another woman. Now living with her son and just landing a new job she struggles as she tries to pick herself up and start over once again.

But things will not be as simple as she hoped it will when she meets Rocco who might be able to give her what her husband didn’t. As Nichole and Rocco get closer to each other it appears that she might finally find happiness after all. That is, until Jake comes back and is determined to win her over and their son and prove that he is not the same man that ruined their family. Which path will Nichole choose? Will she be able to make the right decision for her son and for herself?

Leanne on the other hand knows about his husband’s affairs but does not seem to care as long as they stay together. However, when she hears about what happened to her friend Nichole she is suddenly forced into action as Nichole’s plights are similar to her own. This is when Leanne meets a baker from Ukraine named Nikolai. Nikolai is a charming man and clearly shows that he has affections for Leanne. Will Leanne be able to stay true to her commitments or will she choose what makes her happy at the cost of everything else?

Reactions:

“A Girl’s Guide to Moving On” is a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking novel by Debbie Macomber. While this is listed as a standalone novel, and it can indeed be read as such, it is a sequel of sorts to “Last One Home”, and fans of that book will definitely want to read this to find out what is going on with Cassie, Stephen, and Amiee.” – Drebbles

“I recommend this book as an easy, feel-good read. My one complaint relates to the title. While “A GIRL”S Guide” may have a nice ring to it, I find it hard to reconcile these two strong women with all their talents and life experiences being referred to as girls.” – Lizz A. Belle

“I always enjoy her books. This one had great messages in it. Great lessons to learn. Can’t wait for the next one.” – Loretta Broussard

“Readers who love a good but predictable romance book should enjoy this one.” – Patty Louise

“For all its faults, this book was oddly compelling and I definitely had to finish it. I repeat: If you are a fan of Ms Macomber, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. It seems to be intended to be more chick-lit with a touch of romance, as opposed to a full-on romance, and there were no sex scenes, for those who care.” – Js
