Reactions:

“The book takes readers behind the scenes for the movie’s most recognizable moments, and includes remembrances from numerous esteemed cast members like Wallace Shawn (Vizzini), Mandy Patinkin (Montoya), Billy Crystal (Miracle Max), Robin Wright (Buttercup), and director Rob Reiner, who each share incredible stories behind how the movie was made and what effect it had on their lives. So much great insight, humor, and congeniality between the cast and crew in the making of this magical film. Inconceivable! The book is full of wonderful behind-the-scenes stories that are bound to wow any fan. The printed edition has photographs from Reiner and Norman Lear’s personal collections, plus plenty of set secrets and very funny tales backstage tales which will keep any fan in stitches. This book is an absolute must have for any Princess Bride fan, and a should have for everyone else!” – Outwest

“I am a huge Princess Bride fan and I have to tell you … this book did not disappoint!! Cary’s insider stories and and funny behind the scenes access made me fall in love with him and the movie all over again. I highly recommend this book to any fan of the film!! LOVED it and will be gifting it to my childhood friends … whom I spent countless sleepovers with watching the film.” – Wendy L.

“Wonderful book of memories from Cary Elwes and others involved in creating the amazing movie “The Princess Bride” with great photos in the middle and on the cover! A beautiful treasure!” – Vivian Miller

“I’m an ebook guy these days, but I’d like to point out that the hardcover version includes a wraparound print by Shepard Fairey, and the audiobook is not only narrated by Elwes but Christopher Guest, Carol Kane, Norman Lear, Rob Reiner, Chris Sarandon, Andy Scheinman, Wallace Shawn, Robin Wright and Billy Crystal all pop in to read their respective interview excerpts. “As You Wish” is a pleasant time spent in the presence of someone who loves the movie he was in just as much as you do.” – C.A. Bridges

“The sugary sweetness of the narrative was a little hard to take at times, but I thoroughly enjoyed As You Wish all the same. Elwes spends a lot of time talking about what he and Mandy Patinkin went through to create what Goldman described in The Princess Bride script as the “second-best” sword fighting sequence on film (according to Goldman, the “best” comes later in the movie). The fight and the training were very interesting to read about. The only part of the fight not filmed by the two leads was the flips – wow! That had to be a lot of hard work.” – Jane Easterly
