Double Star Audio Book Summary:
Lorenzo Smythe is your average stand-in for the stars, dreaming of bigger things but unable to grasp that brass ring to success. With life passing him by, he spends most of his down time at the bar, downing glass after glass as his own career steadily spirals downward into the drain. But one faithful meeting has given him a new lease in life. He is being offered the role of a lifetime, literally. A space pilot gave him a chance to accept a role that will change his life forever. With his back against the wall, Smythe accepts this offer and the next thing he knew he was on his way to Mars in order to be the ultimate stand in for an important politician who has inexplicably disappeared. Smythe initially enjoyed this new role that will surely put focus on his acting ability but his lack of understanding of space politics starts reeling its ugly head.
With the peace of two planets at the balance will Smythe be able to just wing it? And when will it dawn on him that he might be stuck with this job forever if the original politician fails to return or if he himself disappears into the ether.
