Review: Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen (Free Audio Book)

Our latest recommendation is the free audiobook of Jane Austen’s classic – Sense and Sensibility.

Sense and Sensibility is a novel written by one of the greatest English novelists, Jane Austen. The main themes of this novel are love, romance, and of course heartbreak. The story revolves around the Dashwood sisters, two young ladies called Elinor and Marianne, and their love life.

Their lives suddenly change when they leave their property after their father’s death. Since he had decided to leave everything he had to John, his first wife’s son, the second wife, Mrs. Dashwood, and her three daughters Elinor, Marianne and Margaret have no other options but to leave the place and live with their distant cousins. Are the Dashwood sisters going to suffer in their future or they are going to restore their happiness and peace? Find out all the details by listening to this wonderful audio book. The novel is read by Elizabeth Klett who did a really wonderful job.

The book is read in a soft-spoken and really relaxing voice, which definitely works in a novel of this kind. Her voice was velvety smooth, pronouncing every word with perfect clarity. She also paces herself perfectly, and makes the story easy to follow. This story and the reader absolutely make a perfect match. Highly recommended!
