Reactions:
“Though it isn’t always easy to understand each word in heated moments of the play, this is a tough, necessary piece to watch or listen to. The terrible, illogical abuse of power in this Salem witch trial is still apropos today as we watch politicians sacrifice people like gays, minorities, and women to make themselves more powerful, more popular with the so called “base.” Unfortunately, this play will probably always be apropos given the cowardice of so many people in the face of power. This is also well acted by some of my favorites like Dreyfus.” – Pomogirl
“Well written, and the actors did a great job. I finished this book embarrassed that humanity could stoop to such levels, even is less enlightened times.” – Steven
“We use these audible books to supplement the literature our high school daughter must get through, so we are actively listening, rather than listening soley for entertainment. The accents took some getting used to and the speed at which the lines were spoken made it difficult at times to follow, but we found the recording helpful.” – Beth
“This is a wonderfully done recording with good actors. However, this recording is not complete and does not follow the script to the T, but that drawback is overshadowed by the actors. They bring the play to life the way it is meant to be. This recording even though incomplete is superb.” – Thomas S.
“This is a very good dramatization! (You feel as though you are watching the play instead of listening to it) but it is very fast and hard to follow along with the book at times because they skip portions.
Also the story is very upsetting to listen to, i felt on edge after i listened to this, but it’s well written and gets the point across.” – Karen
