The Stone Man: A Science Fiction Horror Novel Audio Book Summary:
Its origin is a mystery. Its reasons are unknown. When a towering 8 foot tall man made of hard cold stone suddenly appears in the middle of a busy city one hot July afternoon, nobody knew what to make of it. Some, including hack reporter Andy Pointer, thought it as a publicity stunt. But a publicity stunt for what?
Suddenly, the stone man started to move. Slow and steady it walks; as it goes through a wall of a building several lives are lost in an instant as the building collapsed. As the police, army and government try desperately to halt the advance of the stone man it dawns on them that this thing is an unstoppable force. None will be able to stop it as it leaves a trail of destruction in its wake. The questions still remain: where did it come from and what does it want?
Andy is determined to be the first to know the answers. He was there when it arrived and his visions might be clue to something larger, might even be the biggest scoop of his life. But Andy may not like the answer that waits for him at the end of the Stone Man’s journey. Will he push through even if it means dire consequences for him?

Reactions:
“The Stone Man is the sort of book that, if I’d splashed ten quid on in an airport or train station, bookstore, I’d have considered it money well-spent. It reminded me in particular of Steven King’s “From a Buick Eight” – in that it was ultimately a very human story; with the fantastical elements merely serving ad set-pieces to the rich, satisfying story-driven characterization.” – Amazon Customer

“The author pushed this character from feeling special to feeling cursed. You didn’t want to be him after a while. Because I’ve read so many sci-fis, I personally could predict what the next move might be but you are never sure until it happens. It was a wild ride. Glad I have a strong heart.” – Carl Law

“This was an engrossing sci-fi story that read like a diary of two men in England that get tangled up in an alien invasion. This book reminded me a little of the Keanu Reeves remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. The end is open ended, but there is an epilogue at the very end of the kindle book if the ending leaves you unsatisfied.” – Phoenix2000

“The story is actually pretty good. What I disliked was the lack of editing. Unfortunately many, many, textual and spelling errors are found throughout the document. Regardless, the story is good enough for me to Luke’s other book.” – Vahle J.C.M.

“I enjoyed this book once it got started then it moved along well. One thing I did not like was the fact that it didn’t end. I prefer to be taken on the ride and returned to my upright and locked position at the end of a story.” – Craig M. Kelley
