The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy (Free Audio Book)
The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy – A free audiobook
Narrated by Tadhg
The Woodlanders is a novel written by Thomas Hardy and was published later in his writing career. Hardy intended this book to be the successor of one of his more prominent works, Far From the Maddening Crowd. The Woodlanders focused on the live and relationships between 5 individuals: Giles Winterborne, Grace Melbury, Felice Charmond, Edred Fitzpiers and Marty South.
The novel tackles issues about class differences, fidelity and loyalty and it does so with poise thanks to Hardy’s eloquent writing style. This free audiobook is narrated by Tadhg who has also performed on several Thomas Hardy audiobooks. Tadhg perfectly captures the characters and you would swear that he is a natural Brit with his accent and by the way he enunciates words. Tadhg does Hardy’s classic work justice with his performance.
