Officer 666 by Barton Wood Currie & Augustin McHugh – A free audiobook
Read by Roger Merlin
Officer 666 was written by Barton Wood Curry and Augustin McHugh and tells chaotic and comical tale of Traver Gladwin. Traver Gladwin has everything he ever wanted since he was a child, one of the perks of being the only son of a wealthy businessman. However, this has also made Traver’s life mundane and without any excitement to be had. When looking for any sort of thrill, Traver stumbles upon a plot by an infamous art thief to rob his house. Instead of notifying the police he instead decided to confront this thief and disguises himself as a police officer, for kicks, it may seem.
As Traver surprises the thief, the burglar instead tries to pass himself as Traver Gladwin. Further complications arise when the thief’s girlfriend arrives and believes that the thief is in fact, Traver Gladwin. This night has just begun for Traver and the burglar and their game of chess will undoubtedly spiral out of control before the night is over.
Officer 666 is a free audiobook edition of the popular novel that has already been adapted to numerous films. The energy of the narrator, Roger Merlin, lends to the overall tone of the story and its lesson of be careful what you wish for because you might just get it and not in the way you envisioned.
