A Damsel in Distress is romance novel by P.G. Wodehouse and was first published in 1919. This story centers around George Bevan, an American composer and golf aficionado who falls madly in love with a woman who hid in his taxi cab during one random day on the job.
As he could not take his mind off of the beautiful young woman, he takes it upon himself to track down the love of his life which takes him to a rustic rural mansion in the middle of the countryside. Once there, everything turns south pretty quickly. As numerous misunderstandings occur from his trip to find the woman of his dreams, his life and everyone who is residing inside the manor is turned upside down and a hilarious set of events ensues as one problem leads to another in this fun and romantic tour into the maelstrom of emotion that is brought about by a human emotion called love.
