Life seems to be playing a cruel joke on Frank Softly and as he slowly becomes disenfranchised with everything he believed in fate appears to throw him a bone in the form Alicia Dulcifer and her extremely wealthy father. Frank Softly seems to have found his true calling and this chance meeting will turn his predicament around for the better.
