Ghost Stories of an Antiquary by Montague Rhodes James (Free Audio Book)
Ghost Stories of an Antiquary by Montague Rhodes James – A free audiobook
Narrated by Peter Yearsley
Ghost Stories of an Antiquary were written by Montague Rhodes James. James was a medieval scholar who lived from 1862 to 1936. He was known for his penchant in creating traditional ghost stories that are best read aloud in front of a group, similar to the way stories were told centuries ago. A lot of James’ stories are usually set in pleasant and peaceful backdrops which further enhance the horrifying supernatural presence in his stories.
This free audiobook was written as two sets which are now compiled into one audiobook. There is a short preface during the start of each volume as well from Monatgue Rhodes James. This free audiobook is read by Peter Yearsley who channels his best medieval story teller to give listeners that authentic campfire like feel.
