Lilith by George MacDonald (Free Audio Book)
Lilith by George MacDonald – A free audiobook
Read by Pete Williams
George MacDonald is considered to be the father of fantasy literature and his works has been the inspiration for thousands of authors as well as opening the doors to this fantastical genre. Lilith is considered to be one of his darkest works and it was first published in 1895. It was later revived in paperback by Ballantine Books and is the fifth volume of the series of adult fantasy series they have published in September of 1969.
This is the free audiobook edition of George MacDonald’s most profound work, Lilith. The story of Lilith centers on the nature of life, death and salvation. Scholars believe that this is MacDonald’s argument for Christianity and the idea that all can find salvation and can be saved from eternal damnation. Lilith tells the tale of Mr. Vane as he travels into a parallel world unlike anything he has ever seen. It is here where he will meet Lilith, the first wife of Adam, who may hold the answers to all of his questions.
