Me before You: A Novel Audio Book Summary:
Me Before You tells the story of young Louisa Clark. Lou is a simple girl living the simple life with a close knit family, a kind boyfriend and a small town where she calls home. However, Lou’s life becomes more complicated as she gets hired as an assistant/nurse to millionaire Will Traynor. Will is now wheelchair bound after an accident, a far cry from his previous life of worldwide travel, business meetings and extreme sports which puts him in a position where in everyday is a struggle.
Will and Lou have an unsteady relationship as Will’s attitude perpetually agitates Lou to her wit’s end. But Lou refuses to give up and instead pushes Will to see that life is not all about the material things that he was so fond of before. Lou pushes on further when she finds out about Will’s suicidal tendencies and vows to show him that life is beautiful and it is up to you to make it that way.
Me Before You is a touching love story of two people who are complete opposites of each other yet forms a special bond together. It also asks the question of what would you do if making the person you love most in the world happy also means that you will be left with a broken heart?
One reason to listen:
This is a moving love story for the modern age and is now about to be released in the big screen as well.

“I was far more attuned to the audio version and the reader’s voice in After You that it took me a few hours into the book to warm up to this female version of Louisa Clarke, but warm up I did, and I stayed up late, laying on the carpet, stretching my limbs and listening to the final hours of the story of Louisa Clarke and Will Trainer.” – Farnoosh Brock

“The Narration was perfect with the six narrators giving a stunning performance. I think had I not listened in audio format I wouldn’t have gotten past the slow beginning and seen this book for the gem it was.” – Sherre
