Nemesis Games Audio Book Summary:
Nemesis Games is the fifth novel from renowned science fiction author James S.A. Corey’s best-selling Expanses series. His series has garnered such a following that it is now in line to be produced as a television series by the SyFy Channel.
Nemesis Games is set in the far flung future when thousands of worlds have just been opened and the greatest land rush in history has begun. Wave after wave of colonists take their chances in the deep reaches of the solar system to find wealth and glory and the universe is once again transitioning into a new age.
However, hundreds of ships are disappearing within the void of outer space and private armies are secretly being formed. The last protomolecule sample has also been stolen and a resurgence of terrorist attacks has effectively put the inner planets to its knees. As the sins of the past catches up, the toll for the price appears to be too much for civilization to handle.
James Holden and the crew of Rocinanite must try to survive in this maelstrom of change and revolution in order to get back to the only place they know as home.
One reason to listen:
The Nemesis Games is an exciting science fiction adventure through space filled with intrigue and suspense.

Reactions:
“Nemesis Games is the fifth book in The Expanse series, and it gives you everything the previous books offered, but kicked up a notch. You can tell that the events of Nemesis Games are going to provide a lot of changes for Holden and crew, but change is good. Right? Anyway, this is possibly the best Expanse novel yet.” – Ernest Lilley

“I won’t discuss the plot but Im just glad we get to see something going on again spanning the known universe. I really think they are setting up the stage quite well and can’t wait for the 6th book! Word of advice: Do yourself a favor and read the Short Story “The Churn” which talks about Amos’ background. You will understand a lot and will make you look forward to his chapters in this book.” – Melvin J. Noe

“This is one of the best books of the series. I loved getting POV chapters from each of the Roci crew. I was glad to see Bobbie and Avasarala back (two of my favorites) – but Clarissa Mao – I barely remember her and found it hard to care about her at all.” – Bella Grace

“To be honest, I enjoyed it quite a bit more than Cibola Burn, the previous novel in the series. Well. I’m still recovering. For fans of good old fashioned sci-fi space opera, this can’t be beat. The only thing missing are aliens but maybe in the next book.” – N. Finney

“Looks like the author run out of the ideas. The writing is still good, but there is really nothing happening to get excited about.” – Amazon Customer
