Olive by Dinah Maria Craik – A free audiobook

Narrated by Arielle Lipshaw

Olive is a novel written by Dinah Maria Craik during the 1850’s. This is a free audiobook edition of that novel which was inspired by Jane Eyre. Olive was one of the first novels to have a disabled character being the lead of the story. In this tale, Olive is a woman who was born with a deformity that made her believe she was never going to find a man willing to marry her for what she is. This caused her to focus all her time and attention towards her art, her mother and her religion.

However, everything she believed all her life will be shaken through the core as a dark secret from the past coupled with interesting acquaintances will make Olive realize her potential and what life she could have if she puts her mind to it.

This free audio is read by Arielle Lipshaw who delivers a fascinating performance thanks to her natural line delivery and calming intonations to her voice.
