Snow-Blind by Katharine Newlin Burt – A free audiobook

Narrated by Roger Melin

This is a free audiobook edition of Snow Blind, written by Katharine Newlin Burt. The story takes place in a remote snowy wilderness where a fugitive named Hugh is currently hiding with his younger brother Pete and a nursemaid and cook named Bella. As the three try to whether a particularly harsh winter, Hugh discovered someone in near death within the white forest. Not knowing what to do and not wanting to condemn the woman to her death in the harsh snow Hugh reluctantly carries her back.

Bringing her back to the cabin, they learned her name is Sylvie and that she also acquired snow-blindness from her ordeal. Not wanting any complications with their new visitor, Hugh tricked Sylvie into believing that he is but a humble man living quietly in the forest with his 14 year old brother and their matronly old maid. However, Sylvie will be able to put the pieces back together in time as her other senses strengthen to compensate for her loss of sight.
