The Beautiful and Damned is a novel written by acclaimed author F. Scott Fitzgerald. This is the free audiobook edition presented by Librivox. The story has Fitzgerald’s signature style of writing and theme. It follows the story of Anthony Patch, an heir to a wealthy tycoon. Patch is a rather lazy individual and would rather enjoy the fruits of his family’s hard work rather than actually putting in the work.

The story, as with most of Fitzgerald’s novels, shows the corrupting of excess and how it slowly breakdown one’s values if they let it consume them. E. Tavano does a great job in narrating the story with her on point and clear deliver.
