The Coral Island is a novel written by R.M. Ballantyne. The story revolves around Ralph Rover who has long sine dreamed to travel the great South Sea Islands. His dream finally comes true when he was able to convince his parents to let him go on a trip to pursue his dream of being a traveller.

Unfortunately for Ralph, his dream quickly turned into a nightmare when he gets shipwrecked on a mysterious and large island filled with hostile natives and vicious pirates. Ralph along with two other survivors, Peterkin and Jim, must now embark on an adventure none of them dreamed or hoped for. Ralph wanted an adventure, he got one.
