The Enchanted Castle is a fantasy novel written by E. Nesbit. This free audiobook edition of the tale is narrated wonderfully by Peter Eastman. In this story, three children are forced to stay within the school during the holidays. As with all youths forced to stay in one place for a significant amount of time, the three venture outside to find their own adventure. They then found themselves inside a vast castle where they meet a princess in the middle of the labyrinth.

However, it quickly turns out that this mysterious and magical castle is merely a country estate and that the princess is a simple housekeeper’s niece playing dress up. What all of them did not realize is that the “magic” ring the girl was wearing is in fact a true, honest to goodness magic ring. All of them are soon transported into a mystical world where statues are alive, long lost lovers searching for each other are brought back together and that any wish they make can come true, if you are willing to pay the price.
