The Escape Audio Book Summary:
Inside a unique prison, the authorities rule with an iron fist using far advanced security system that has been deemed unbreakable. None of the prisoners even dreamed about breaking out as it was believed to be impossible.
When Robert Puller was imprisoned in this high security prison for high treason, everyone believed it was the last they’d hear of him. That was , until the day he miraculously escaped from a prison that was touted as inescapable. Now, his younger brother, John Puller is tasked by the government to bring his brother in alive. With a heavy heart, John Puller takes the job of taking down his brother to atone for his crimes. But all is not what it seems as John Puller quickly realized. There are others that are hidden in the shadows that want John’s brother dead at all cost. With little to no one to trust, John is forced to an alliance with an agent who has her own reason for helping.
As they both try to get to the truth hidden within a web of lies, they find that not everybody is what they seem and that Robert may know something that can possibly shake the government to its foundations. Now, it is a frenetic race against time as John tries to discover the truth and save his brother and himself before the pit behind him catches up and swallows him whole.
One reason to listen:
This taut and riveting thriller takes what makes spy fiction a one of a kind genre and spins it into a tale of suspense and nail biting game of cat and mouse.

Reactions:
“Best theme yet of the Puller books. John Puller’s antagonist is on his team and keeps him off balance the entire book. Never a dull moment. A book truly about today’s world; deceit of some kind from every player.” – Hunter
“Never disappointed!! Always keeps you guessing as to who is the good guy and who is the bad guy!!” – Glenda
“John Puller becomes better and better. Yes there are some similarities with Jack Reacher but Puller is so much more. I look forward to future books in this series!” – Elaine
“I enjoyed the first two books of this series, so I was happy to see book 3 come along. This book dealt with the details of Puller’s brother’s incarceration, something that I was ready to know more about. At times, this unabridged version, can be a little tedious and repetitive, but, all in all, a good listen and I am glad I spent the credit.” – Leslie
“I can’t say this is not a decent listen. It has good characters, a tight plot and good twists and turns. But Baldacci seems to be taking the route of James Patterson and others who just seem to pump out books. It’s as if they use a central theme, change the characters and go for it. There are so many many many details in this book and they just go on an on and of course, they all come to a ‘logical’ perfect conclusion. Again, not saying this isn’t a good story – I just feel like I knew the ending having read all of Baldacci’s other books. Only 3 stars and truly, I think I’ll give the next Baldacci a pass.” – Joan
