The Halloween Tree Audio Book Summary:

The story takes place in the eve of Halloween when 8 boys are taken on a journey through time by a mysterious entity called Moundshroud. Moundshorud takes the boys to different civilizations throughout time. From the times of the pyramids of ancient Egypt, the strange and harsh land of the Celtic druids, through Mexico and Paris, the 8 boys will bear witness to the haunting and chilling beginnings of the holiday known as Halloween.

Ray Bradbury’s collection of tales from different eras will surely delight horror aficionados while sending shivers to the casual younger audience. Bronson Pinchot adds his enjoyable energy into the story as he reads through the book like a master story teller who sits around the bonfire during the cold and haunted night of Halloween when ghouls and ghost go bump in the night… much more than normal.

One reason to listen:

Do you love Halloween? If you do then this is a perfect audiobook to listen to with your children as you spend the night of Hallow’s Eve.

Reactions:

“This is the night when you could taste the magic in the air. Bradbury is an artist and these 145 pages are his canvas. If you are a true fan of Halloween or want to become one this book is for you.” – Michael

“For all its length it’s a perfect book for the most part and one that deserves to be read every year together with a bunch of people. On Halloween of course ” – Michael Battaglia

“Halloween Tree succeeds in being a good fantasy, a good spinechiller, a good glimpse back in history, and an excellent story about friendship all in one. A wonderful read, and not just for Halloween either.” – EA Solinas

“This book is no classic. However it was a good idea, when it was about kids on Halloween night, with a Halloween tree, the freaky Mr. Moundshroud, and Pip’s ghost or spirit whatever.” – Pepper Louis

“This is a good- very good book, but not in the same category with The Martian Chronicles. But it’s written by the great, & (late), Ray Bradbury! Not much more needs to be said. That man sure had a fantastic way with words.” – Leslie
