The Wrong Box by Robert Louis Stevenson and Lloyd Osbourne – A free audiobook

Narrated by Andy Minter

The Wrong Box is a hilarious, albeit dark comedy, and is now available as a free audiobook. This was written by Robert Louis Stevenson and Lloyd Osbourne, the story centers on the last remaining subscribers of a tontine and the events that spiraled out of control between the two. A tontine is an arrangement wherein several young individuals are subscribed to a fund which is closed and invested until only one member of the subscribers are left. The last one will then inherit all the accumulated proceeds.

The story of the Wrong Box will focus on the last two remaining surviving members of the tontine as they both contend with a train crash, missing uncles and dozens of dead bodies. Is the other one trying to take out the other ahead of their time? This tale of betrayal, greed and chaos is further complicated by the two who affirms that they are both innocent to the events unfolding.

Andy Minter gives a great performance and injects a whole lot of energy into the narration which elevates this story to higher levels and gives life to the train wreck of a tale that is unfolding. The Wrong Box is a hilarious and riotous free audiobook that shows not everything and everyone is as they seem.
