If you are not familiar with Doctor Who then The Veiled Leopard is a fun audiobook to act as an introduction to the world of Doctor Who. I will not spoil anything here but the main plot of the story involves both the Fifth and Seventh Doctor (although they will not appear in the story) respective allies Peri and Erimem in the first part and Ace and Hex in the second part. The two different reincarnation of the Doctor gave each team very contradicting missions which will cause some problems for both teams. Is this a mistake or does the Doctor have something up his sleeves?
The Doctor Who: Veiled Leopard audiobook was made available for free along with several other Doctor Who audiobooks with the purchase of the 50th Anniversary Special Edition of DWM (Doctor Who Magazine) 467 in 2013.
The audiobook once again makes use of a full cast which certainly elevates it to the top in my book. All the voice actors embodied their characters perfectly and delivered the lines naturally that listeners will have no problem getting drawn in to the story. If you are looking for something that can be finished within an hour then it covers that as well as it has a running time of 56 minutes. A very interesting story and fantastic voice cast makes this one of the best free audiobooks out there.
